Azure Back to School, is a great community initiative, setup by Dwayne Natwick. During the month of September 2020, a mix of video contributions and blog posts, all about different Azure topics, will be shared by community people from all over the world. This is truly what community is all about, sharing knowledge and helping people learning new things and improving their skillset.
You can find all other videos and blog posts at https://azurebacktoschool.tech/ You can also keep an eye on Twitter for the hashtags #AzureBacktoSchool and #AzureFamily to stay up to date.
In my video contribution for Azure Back to School, I will tell you all about Azure Backup and how it can be used to backup and restore your Azure IaaS workloads. After a short introduction of the service, I will give you a detailed walk trough on how you can backup your different IaaS workloads, followed by a demo. Then I will take a deeper look into the pricing and before closing, I will tell you everything about how to setup alerting and monitoring for Azure Backup with accompanying demo.
I have already written a few blog posts about Azure Backup and more will follow in the future. You can read the ones I have already written via the links below:
- Azure Backup: Create a Recovery Services vault with Azure PowerShell
- Azure Backup: Restore an Azure IaaS VM from a soft-deleted backup
The video I made is available on YouTube or you can watch it directly from here.
You can also view the PowerPoint presentation used during the video via my SlideShare page or below.
I am really happy to be a part of this online event and I hope you enjoy all the content shared during the Azure Back to School event.
